FAST and Furious at Northern Zone

Yet another fabulous weekend for FAST where we were competing against the top clubs from Auckland, Counties and the North.

FAST came 7th overall with 710 points, an incredible performance. Our swimmers picked up 15 individual medals and 4 relay medals, swimming for Counties. Well done everyone.

Thank you so much Ria and Niki. This was the last big meet of the season and we’ve finished on a high thanks to their wonderful coaching and dedication to the team.

Our Medal winners and placings were:

BOYS

Brandon – Gold in 50 breast, Silver in 100 breast and 5 top 10 placings.

Matthew – Gold in 200 Fly and 6 top 10 placings.

Nathan – Silver in 400 free, Bronze in 200 free and 4 top 10 placings.

Blake – 5th in 200 back and 200IM and 4 top 10 placings.

Alexander – 5th in 200 Breast.

Ethan – 10th in 50 back.

Leon – 11th in 50 back and a pb.

GIRLS

Libby – Gold in 100 fly, 200IM and 200 fly, Silver in 50 Breast, 50 fly and 100 breast, bronze in 200 back and 50 back and 3 top 10 placings.

Emma – Silver in 200 breast and 2 top 10 placings

Lily – Bronze in 100 breast and 6 top 10 placings.

Shontelle – 8th in 50 back and a pb.

RELAYS – Counties Teams

Brandon, Nathan and Blake won a Silver medal in the 200m freestyle relay.

Brandon, Nathan, Blake and Alexander won a bronze medal in the 200m medley relay.

Libby and Emma won a bronze medal in the 200m medley relay.

Libby, Emma, Lily and Shontelle won a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle relay.

Special congratulations to Libby who was the top points scorer in the 10 year old girls with 182 points. She was also the overall top points scorer of the meet.

Lastly, congratulations also to Nathan who is now a Level 1 swimmer.

Counties Anniversary Meet December 3rd 2019
